The Day After Thanksgiving: A Free Online Grief Circle
Details
A free hour on the morning after Thanksgiving, for anyone who carried a loss through the day.
Yesterday may have been a table with an empty chair. It may have been a day alone, or a day spent holding it together for everyone else, or a day that went better than you feared and still left something behind. Whatever it was, it is over, and this hour is for what it left.
How the hour runs
A minute of quiet, a short guided visualization, a round where you can say the name of who or what you are missing, then one question about the day that just happened:
What did yesterday ask of you, and what are you carrying out of it?
Nobody has to speak, and passing is an answer. We finish at 11:00.
Any loss belongs here. A death, a divorce, an estrangement, a diagnosis, a first holiday somewhere new. Nothing gets ranked.
When
Friday, November 27, 10:00 to 11:00 am Mountain (noon Eastern, 9:00 am Pacific). Free, on Google Meet. The Google Meet link shows on this page once you RSVP.
Hosted by
Avery Collura, a grief practitioner in Longmont, Colorado. This is not therapy, and it is not built for a crisis. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, any hour.
The Tuesday circle keeps meeting as usual, every Tuesday at 5:00 pm Mountain.
