Morning round of Disc Golf at Bushwood renegade course
Details
This is an event by KEEP MOVING - read the group description for more information about this movement!
Come throw a round of disc golf at one of Bend's renegade forest courses! A renegade course means you're throwing at buckets/cans instead of baskets - the best way to hone your skills! The course itself is medium-length and slightly technical - a great beginner/intermediate level course.
Disc golf plays just like ball golf, only you're walking over local terrain, through trees, and on mountains instead of greens and fairways. It's just an awesome way to go for a walk in the woods. If you've never played before, I can explain everything on-site and help a bit with form and technique (though as with most things, it just takes some practice).
I have enough discs for 3-4 players, but you can also get a starter set at several places around town (I recommend Gear Fix in the Box Factory - support local!).
The course itself is 19 holes and will take about 2 hours to complete. Your arm can definitely get tired after a while - no need to play every hole.
This is such a great way to start the day! Come practice, learn, walk around, meet, or play the whole course together! See you out there Thursday morning! RAIN OR SHINE!
