A warm welcome to KEEP IN TOUCH, a brand new community group in the Bays, focused on connecting like-minded and heart-centered individuals on a deeper level through a variety of conscious or embodied activities.
This event: Healthy Touch
๐ค Why we need to 'keep in touch'
In modern life, nurturing human connection and physical touch can easily get neglected, or be missing altogether. They are however vital for our health and wellbeing! Feeling safe and connected is a deep and innate human need. It helps us to relax and feel good through the release of oxytocin, plus it regulates our nervous system by naturally switching from sympathetic to parasympathetic, just to name a few very important benefits!

โโ What this event is about
- An opportunity to safely enjoy platonic (strictly non-sexual!) human connection, like holding hands, gentle touch, hugs or cuddles.
- Full autonomy about who we will/won't interact with, and how.
- Very clear boundaries, and consent required in any given moment, without the need to justify. Of course you may leave at any point.
- An event for adults of all ages, races and genders.
โ What this event is not about
- Therapeutic maybe, but this is not therapy.
- Not suitable for mentally unstable or severely traumatised.
- This is not a dating or hook-up event.
- Strictly no sexual advances or coercion!
โWhat to expect on the evening
- Introductions.
- Overview of the practice.
- Safety, boundaries, consent and demonstrations.
- Invitation for gentle introductory partner exercises.
- Questions.
- Practice of choice, or rest and observe.
- Feedback, sharing & closing.

Safety
- All participants must be on the 'GOING' list, no guests.
- Everyone is responsible for themselves and their belongings.

- Sober event, no drugs or alcohol. No smoking or vaping in the building.
- Profiles with photos may get priority.
Hygiene
- Please arrive clean, and wash your hands upon arrival.
- No strong odours or scents please.
- Don't attend if you are unwell or contagious.
- IF THE HOSTS ARE UNWELL, THE EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED AND NO LONGER SHOW HERE. Please check here or your Meetup messages on the day.
