New Years Hike to Feldberg/Taunus

Join us for an approx 3-4 hours hike from Kelkheim-Fischbach to Feldberg plateau /Taunus.

The hike will include off-road and forest trails, we will walk some steep parts up-hill, we might need to climb over some branches and fallen trees. No rock climbing. It might be a little slippery, if it is snowy or muddy.

You should have a generally average to good fitness level😊

Meeting point / time: Peperoncino, Langstrasse 4, 65779 Kelkheim-Fischbach. Please be there 10:45 so we can depart on time, we wil leave at 11:00 a.m. if weather allows.

Bring your own drinks and snacks for the hike. There is a restaurant on top of Feldberg, that is usually open this time a year.

Once arriving on the Feldberg plateau you may decide to walk back down after a break or take the bus or share a taxi back. Please check the bus schedule for your way back.

PARKING: There is parking close by under the bridge of B455 and there is a church close by with a big parking area as well as street parking along Langstrasse. Parking at your own risk.

Please assess yourself, if you are fit, healthy and prepared enough to join this activity. Bring clothing and shoes suitable for this hike and the day’s weather.
