GIS Day - Kelowna Map Tools Demo and Social

We will start our event in Meeting Room 3 of the library at 6 pm. To Celebrate GIS Day, Stefanie Wenker (from the City of Kelowna) will be talking about exciting GIS Tools available for Kelowna planning and development. She will demonstrate a new 2D/3D map viewer that displays buildings currently under development in the downtown area of Kelowna inside a Nearmap 3D Mesh. The tool is an easy way to look at City data, do line of sight analysis, and shadow analysis. Stefanie will also show off other neat tools.

From here, we have a reservation at 7:15 at King Taps, where we will walk from the library and enjoy food and drinks over conversation.

GoGeomatics is a networking event to welcome students, professionals, and academics in the field of geomatics in a casual environment.
Come out and have some drinks with other students, peers and professionals. This group is open to everyone in any geomatics-related field--GIS, surveying, remote sensing, photogrammetry, CAD, and more.
