Join us for a leisurely guided tour and photo walk through the Kelowna Wastewater Treatment Facility. The facility has been in its current location since 1913. Over the years, there have been several facility changes and upgrades providing many great photo opportunities including new and old industrial equipment, as well as many interesting buildings, vehicles, treatment ponds, piping, and various resident bird species. Michael toured the facility with the Seniors Learning in Retirement group and took many interesting photos. The short video link gives you an idea of what to expect.
We will be mainly outdoors so dress accordingly. Please note: Closed-toed shoes are required to attend this tour and there are some short sets of stairs. p.s. There is VERY little odour.
Parking: When you drive up to the gated entrance, press the button on your left side to open the gate, and then use any empty staff parking spots. Street parking is not recommended as it is 1 hour only.
You may post up 10 photos from this event.
We will go for coffee at the Bean Scene on Pandosy St after the walk.
