Potom’O’quan 4Days/100-Miles: Final 25 miles

Details

Postponed from 11 November, on this, the original day 2 of the “first” 4-day Potomac River to Occoquan River walk, until a more complete riverside route comes to fruition, we are providing you an alternative choice of a 20 or 25 mile walking route, largely on park trails.

As always, KM is giving you free, volunteer support. You will be shuttled to the start promptly at 9am after staging your vehicle at the finish location: Whiele-Reston Metro Station. Parking is free Sundays. You must inform your host that you will be utilizing the shuttle. Maps with detailed written directions, fluids, snacks, en route check points and shuttle, all to be provided free of charge. Please do pack your own lunch. You can stow a small backpack in the main shuttle.

Join us for this “first” of two semi-annual 100-mile plus treks: Next Memorial Day’s 100-mile trail route will incorporate all of of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. It will also provide temporary route segments that fill-in the present route gaps en route to the Occoquan River.

Please also join us for the “Free” 8th Annual RFK50-Miler held every Presidents’ Day Weekend Sunday on the C&O Towpath. Don’t forget the Annual MLK Walk and the annual Fairfax Cross-County Trail Walk. You also have European Kennedy Marches and “Walk of the World” options through our “Original” International Kennedy March organization.

“Walk on,”
