Kent Long Distance Walkers Association

Welcome to the Meetup page for the Kent LDWA walking group.

We are a friendly and dynamic group who enjoy discovering our countryside on foot.

We organise social walks almost every weekend all around Kent, which are all lead by volunteers. Their distances are usually between 16 and 22 miles at moderate to brisk pace and therefore it would be fair to say that the group sits at the more strenuous end of the walking community. Most of our walks include a pub stop when possible, although usually preceded by a picnic lunch. We walk around the entire county but occasionally venture in Surrey and Sussex.

The Kent Group also hold three challenge events every year, along with other LDWA events across the country, details of which are available on our website. Alternatively, you will have the opportunity to ask other direct LDWA members about these when you join.

Non members are welcome to try us for three walks, but then we ask that you join the national LDWA at http://www.ldwa.org.uk/.

This is £15.00 per year and allows you to walk with any group in the country as well as receiving our Strider magazine three times a year and get discounts on our hundreds of challenge events up and down the UK. Membership also gives you access to our amazing Long Distance Path database.
