Virtual Russian practice!

This is a casual conversation group for people to practice speaking Russian. No English! :-)
Discussion topics will be posted before each meetup - feel free to look up some words so you are prepared!

Level of Russian Required:

• At a minimum you should be able to carry on a basic conversation in Russian. (Mistakes are okay!)
• Advanced and native speakers are of course welcome!
• This is a speaking group; not a listening group. If you don't speak Russian, this is probably not the group for you.

How to join the event:

• RSVPs are cut off 24 hours before the event.
• After you RSVP, you will see the event link under the heading "Online Event".
• Karyn will also email the link by the morning of the event.
• If you can't find the link, please send Karyn a direct message via meetup.com at least 2 hours before the event starts.

New Structure!
We are going to start adding in some structure to the meetups to help keep the conversation flowing. When possible, we'll announce some discussion topics in advance so you can prepare. Remember, this is a speaking group, not a listening group, so all are encouraged to participate.

This week's agenda:

• First timer intros: if this is your first time joining, we'd love to get the chance to know a little bit about you! (Where are you from? Where do you live? What got you interested in learning Russian...)
• Discussion Topic 1: Show and Tell. Inspired by Greg! Bring an interesting or special item. Tell the group about it and why you chose it. You might choose a souvenir from your travels, or anything else you'd like to share.
• Discussion Topic 2: TBA (If we run out of time for 2nd topic, we'll move it to our next meetup.)
