Virtual Russian practice!

This is a casual conversation group for people to practice speaking Russian. No English! :-)
Discussion topics will be posted before each meetup - feel free to look up some words so you are prepared!

Level of Russian Required:

• At a minimum you should be able to carry on a basic conversation in Russian. (Mistakes are okay!)
• Advanced and native speakers are of course welcome!
• This is a speaking group; not a listening group. If you don't speak Russian, this is not the group for you.

How to join the event:

• RSVPs are cut off 24 hours before the event.
• After you RSVP, you will see the event link under the heading "Online Event".
• If you can't find the link, please send Karyn a direct message via meetup.com at least 2 hours before the event starts.

This week's agenda:

• Check in with all members: How are you doing? What is on your mind this week?
• First timer intros: if this is your first time joining, we'd love to get the chance to know a little bit about you! (Where are you from? Where do you live? What got you interested in learning Russian...)
• Discussion Topic 1: What do you do to put some variety into your life?
• Discussion Topic 2: Who is your favorite Russian author and why? (If you are a non-native English speaker, you may prefer to answer - who is your favorite English-language author and why?)(If we run out of time for 2nd topic, we'll move it to our next meetup.)
