JavaScript Demos and Discussions

Sorry the announcement is late this time -- work and stuff.

This month we’re meeting again at Awesome Inc’s offices (http://awesomeinc.org). We’re very greatful for their kind support and hope to bring some javascripting fun to their house.

Get ready scripting fans — its gonna be pretty awesome. Please invite anyone who you think would get something out of this meet up.

We’ve got two talks planned — one from Ron Northrip (@ronnorthrip) and one from Chris Wininger. They’ll take about 15 to 20 minutes a piece. Then we’re gonna open up the floor for discussions.

Session # 1: Spidering with NodeJS
Ron is going to talk about NodeJS spideirng options, memory issues, and cool tools. He's also going to talk aobut the headache of poorly formatted HTML. And he's got real world numbers compared to RoR spidering approaches on a massive website!

Session # 2: The Web Audio API
The new Web Audio API is starting to get some real love out in the community. Chris is going to tell us all about it, and how to use it to make awesome soundfx. Come listen!
