Do we need a SRE special Interest group for Keycloak?

Details
Site reliability engineering (SRE) is a software engineering approach to IT operations. SRE teams use software as a tool to manage systems, solve problems, and automate operations tasks.
With the high-availability guide for Keycloak, which first appeared in Keycloak 23, we distilled a first set of blueprints on multi-site deployments. Still we know it covers only a subset of the challenges people face when they run Keycloak in a production environment.
To learn from each other what Keycloak can do today, and to expand Keycloak capabilities, we propose a SRE special interest group (SIG).
Possible topics this group will work on:
- How make Keycloak use less memory?
- What are the right metrics of Keycloak to watch and how to visualize them in a dashboard?
- How can I automate upgrades of Keycloak?
- Can we simplify how Keycloak is configured and set up?
It will be a public forum where people interested in the topic can meet and collaborate. The proposed SRE special interest group (SIG) will be modelled after Keycloak’s first SIG, the Keycloak OAuth SIG, which has been very successful in advancing Keycloak’s capabilities.
In this first meeting, we would like to find out if there would be interest in such a group, who would like to contribute to such a purpose, and what could be the first areas to tackle.
So RSVP and join the dicussion!
