Beach Hike

This is our first event.

This is a loop walk in Union Beach we have done a bunch of times and it is a flat walk and about 10,000 steps if you like to count.

We walk along the Henry Hudson Trail, go out to the East creek estuary, sometimes see the Herons there, then double back through the neighborhoods, along Union Avenue, along the new beach dunes, circle around the perimeter of the town and come back on the Henry Hudson Trail through the Flat Creek.

Around the 2/3 point we can also take a detour, (sometimes a little mud) out to the north point beach if the tide and winds allow which adds a few thousand steps and is a really beautiful place right on the bay and worth the time.

The point is a nice spot to break out the thermos and some goodies if you care to bring and share.

We are considering a rain date on the next day if necessary.
