Hi,
I was hoping that we could do a longer book together this year and so here it is!

Considered as one of the best novels of modern times, The Magus is as thought-provoking as it is entertaining!
It's about a young Englishman, Nicholas Urfe who accepts a teaching position on a Greek island where his friendship with the owner of the islands most magnificent estate leads him into a nightmare.
As reality and fantasy are deliberately confused by staged deaths and terrifying violence, Urfe becomes a desperate man fighting for his sanity and his life.
The Magus by John Fowles is a work that is rich with symbols, conundrums and labyrinthine twists of event.

If you have ever had any interest in reading a longish book but haven't found the motivation to do so i recommend that you join us on this one!

In this session we will be covering the first 33% of this book so we will be reading until chapter 33 (Chapter 33 is included)
I expect you to have read this much before joining the session

Until then, take care
