What we’re about
Does it ever get to 10pm and everyone else is shuffling out the door? Do you ever wish that there were people around who wanted to stay out until the bar kicks you out? Well this is the group for it.
You don’t have to kick on, but we hope that you’ll find a solid group of mates in it for the long nights and early mornings, nights you’ll remember forever.
Introductions are in order!
Kick On will host social events on Saturday's for people looking to meet new friends, and build a new circle in Melbourne. It's also just a chance to celebrate the weekend, and get a bit loose with your mates at a pub with a bunch of other potential friends.
Who’s the organizer?
Hey I'm Nathan (people might've seen me around once or twice). Saturdays have become a little quiet as of recent, and I've decided to step up and organize some events.
Why is it called Kick On?
Looking back on my time in Melbourne, most of my good friends weren't made during the weekly meet up event, they were made when we got a group together and kicked onto the next bar. I hope to encourage that.
My meetup might end at 10, but I love a good kick on, and more often than not I'll hit the town, and if anyone wants to join me, go for it. Or if you're able to form your own sub-clique and find your own fun, even better.
Requirements
... absolutely none.
Ground Rules
Don't be a dickhead.
If I hear about any kind of harassment from one member to another, you're out.
Suggestions
If you are hesitant to join in with a group, the only thing I can say is Don't Be. Everyone I've met through meetup has been very friendly, and it's all lead to me having one of the best years of my life.
If you see someone a bit hesitant to join in on a conversation, bring them in, it makes peoples nights, and you get the chance to meet interesting new people.
