Read, Play, Swap!

Come and join us on June 15th, 2025, at 11:00 AM in a lovely garden (tba) for a morning of stories, silliness, and surprise book treasures!
We'll begin with a reading of "Leaf" by Sandra Dieckmann, a beautifully illustrated story perfect for children ages 3 to 7. This touching tale follows a lost polar bear who drifts into unfamiliar woods and is misunderstood by the local animals. As he gathers leaves to craft wings in a hopeful attempt to fly back home, the story gently explores themes of empathy, acceptance, and the importance of helping others, especially those who may seem different.
After the story, the little ones can enjoy a short, playful activity, because sitting still is hard, and fun is important. Meanwhile, adults and older kids can participate in our Book Exchange. Bring a book you’re ready to part with and swap it for something new. Who knows? You might discover your next favorite read or finally free up some shelf space.
So grab a blanket, your favorite tiny humans, and a book or two to share.
We’ll bring the stories, you bring the smiles.
