Join us on August 31st at 2:00 PM in Stadtpark for an afternoon of fun, silliness, and surprise book treasures!
We’ll begin with a reading (in German) of the beloved picture book “Komm, sagte die Katze” by Mira Lobe, a timeless, beautifully illustrated story about courage, empathy, and the power of inclusion. When a group of animals is caught in a storm, they must decide whether to let others into their shelter — even those who look or act differently. With gentle language and warm illustrations, the story encourages children to think about kindness, fairness, and standing up for what is right. Perfect for children aged 4 to 7.
After the story, little ones can enjoy a short, playful activity, because sitting still can be hard, and having fun is important!
Meanwhile, adults and older kids are invited to take part in our Book Exchange. Bring a book you’re ready to part with and swap it for something new. Who knows? You might discover your next favorite read or finally free up some shelf space.
So grab a blanket, your favorite tiny humans, and a book or two to share.
We’ll bring the stories, you bring the smiles.
