A Sunday Hike in Haleakala National Park with great photo opportunities

I propose to take the Supply Trail in Haleakala National Park. This should be a hike with many photo opportunities. The Supply Trail ascends gradually as it crosses the middle of the mountain. Eventually it descends to the valley that looks like a colorful desert (see photo). We can walk as long as we like. If we go all the way to the valley, it will be a strenuous 10-12 miles hike. This is probably too much, since we'll stop a number of times to take photos. To get there, pass the entrance to the park. Shortly after the entrance, there is a left turn to Hosmer Grove. Take the turn. Shortly after the turn there is a parking lot on the right. I'll be there next to a blue Subaru. If you get to the Hosmer Grove parking lot, you went too far.

P.S. after this hike, I am going to be in Africa for about a month. So I encourage somebody else to organize the hikes.
