
What we’re about
Everyone is welcome! We will be practicing meditation, both sitting and walking, and this will be followed by a dharma discussion. The dharma (teachings) of Buddhism are really about "How can I show up most effectively and compassionately in my life - for my self, others and the world?"
The essence of Buddhist practice is wise, compassionate living and this will be an opportunity to look into what that can mean for each of us.
Mindfulness is the practice of present moment, nonjudgmental awareness and of being able to respond effectively in the moment to life's challenges and stress.
We are a local Outer Banks Sangha (community) affiliated with Dong Hung Buddhist Temple in Va. Beach, practicing in the Zen Pure Land tradition of Buddhism.
