Hello everyone!
Join Plant-Based Treaty Houston at AliefVotes’ Disaster Preparedness Roundtable on 9/13. We’ll be connecting and discussing with climate leaders, organizations, and city and county offices about the importance of including plant-based solutions in disaster preparedness plans to ensure a more sustainable and resilient community.
✨Plant-based meals will be served by default, along with fresh green smoothies! 🌱🤩
This event was organized by AliefVotes students in collaboration with the Resilient Cities Network and non-profit partners in Alief and governmental entities.
Join us for an insightful event on disaster preparedness at the Alief Neighborhood Center on September 13, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM. You’ll hear from Rev. Mark Brown, CEO of West Houston Assistance Ministries; Sarai Robinson from Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas' Office of District F; The City of Houston Office of Emergency Management; and Miracle Bui, Alief Community Engagement Coordinator from Precinct 4.
From 12 PM to 1 PM, enjoy a free lunch and green smoothies while participating in a student-led discussion on disaster preparedness. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts and help shape our disaster prep report, which will be shared with government leaders and nonprofits. Your voice matters!
Event Address: Alief Neighborhood Center, 11903 Bellaire Blvd (Room 1511/12)
