What we’re about
We are a group which enquires into timeless non-dual wisdom drawn from the great philosophies of both East and West. Everyone is welcome. We test out the words of the wise in practice and discover, experience and share insights both great and small. We ponder great questions and try interesting experiential exercises in philosophy and awareness which help us live more wisely, happily and harmoniously. The group is led by a tutor and the emphasis is on weekly practice and experience rather than theory, observation rather than opinion. Let the great philosophers re-awaken you to the wonder of being alive. Members say they feel more deeply connected through the work of the group and above all begin to discover who they really are. We meet in the Kingston-upon-Thames and Richmond area. You are warmly invited to join us and you can enrol on our website www.kingstonschoolofphilosophy.org and the full 10-week course fee is £50, half the usual fee. If for any reason you want a refund we have a no quibble refund policy up to week 3 and thereafter it is pro-rata. We run the group at The Quaker Centre, Fairfield East, Kingston KT1 2PT. We are the School of Philosophy Kingston, a branch of the School of Philosophy & Economic Science founded in 1937. The School is a not-for-profit organization and a registered charity. If you’re on the look-out for a way to discover what philosophy has to offer, in the company of like-minded people, this could be for you. No prior knowledge is required.
