Corsage (2022) at VIFF

Details
Okay Kino-Klatschers, let's see if we can get this group going again, now that the pandemic has passed. Doing Meet-ups at the actual Vancouver International Film Festival has proven more difficult in the past - people should get their tickets in advance, but this one runs early enough that we should be able to find a place nearby to talk about the film afterwards.
I don't know much about this film, other than that it is one of the more high-profile films at VIFF, with good reviews and already some awards.
IMDB write up: A fictional account of the later years of Empress Elisabeth of Austria. On Christmas Eve 1877, Elisabeth turns 40 and is officially deemed an old woman and starts trying to maintain her public image, once idolized for her beauty.
This is the same empress that was portrayed by Romy Schneider in the popular "Sissi" films of the 1950s.
The VIFF write up mentions how the filmmakers take liberties with the historical record, which makes it especially interesting to me.
