Foodie Camping Weekend @ Coolendel Campgrounds (3hrs from Sydney) - Oct 20-22
Details
Delighted we're finally doing this - A foodie-focused camping weekend!
We're going to be camping at Coolendel Campgrounds, a large fantastic campground which has all the great facilities you love (hot shower, flushing toilets, etc) and a lot of flexibility in their setup to support groups like ours. They also have lots of wombats on the grounds which I'm excited to see (from a distance of course - hehe).
Ok, so here's how it is going to work...
1. DURATION : You can arrive anytime during the weekend - Sue Lee, Ankit & I will be there for 3 days & 2 nights (but the timing is optional for you).
2. PAYMENT : Each person must arrange payment online for their own booking (and it's easy, you pay ~$25 per person, per night). Feel free to come on your own or invite your partner or friend.
3. ACCOMODATIONS : Each person arranges for their own tent & camping accommodations related equipment. I have been advised there are also glamping (preset tents) & cabin options available for those who don't have a tent and want to join in too.
If you're keen to come and don't have a tent but want to stay in a tent, let us know here too -- We may be able to work something else out this way as well.
4. FOOD ROSTER : And then we'll set up a schedule where people who want to cook a specific lunch or dinner on a specific day can put their hands up to do so. And for those who are happy just to help out one way or another, let us know too.
5. OTHER ACTIVITIES : We're pretty informal... people can do whatever they like at any point. We're big campfire people, so we're going to make sure we have a fire going so the post dinner chats should be great. We're prob going to also find some local hikes to help us build up an appetite for the next meal too.
Note: When we arrive on the Friday, we're going to include on a white board at reception where in the park we will be located. And we'll share contact info as well by email before the weekend so you also have a backup way to contact us if needed.
---
Here is the Food Roster -- Let us know if you want to pick one of these and we'll update it as we get folks signing up for specific meals.
- Fri Dinner - Open to pick
- Sat Lunch - Open to pick
- Sat Dinner - Open to pick
- Sun Lunch - Open to pick
If you have any questions - Let us know.
We're all very much looking forward to this great foodie adventure !
Cheers,
Sue Lee, Ankit & Natia

Kitchen Catchup Code of Conduct
The Kitchen Catchup community is a space for all members of all skill levels to, both in person and online,
> > safely discuss, cook and eat all types of foods from around the world,
> > be treated fairly, equally and with respect by all members, and
> > socialise & learn in an environment free from all forms of harassment and discrimination.
If you do not care for a certain ingredient, dish, cuisine or cooking technique, there is no issue with mentioning that you do not care for it; however, we ask that you avoid negative reactions (verbal or otherwise) that could make other members in the group feel uncomfortable.
Given the limited number of spots available at our events and as we often have a waitlist, we also have a zero-tolerance policy for no-shows. If you can't make it any longer to an event, update your RSVP so that someone else doesn't miss out.
Thanks for helping to keep our community amazing!
