Kitchen Catchup Potluck – Cooking with Intention & Attention - Sat 13 Sept, 5pm

Details

This month, Kitchen Catchup co-hosts Kiri & Natia invites us to explore a theme that’s a little different from our usual potlucks: Cooking with Intention and Attention.

This event is about the energy we bring to cooking and sharing food.

Intention: Making a dish to evoke a certain feeling — perhaps comfort for a friend, celebration for a milestone, or calm after a long week.

Attention: Noticing the small details — choosing seasonal ingredients, or even adding a little detail that makes you smile. Bring along a dish that reflects your own sense of intention or attention, and tell us a little about the thought you put into it when we share the meal. It could be a cake you’d bring to a work meeting to brighten the room, a soup that speaks of renewal, or something that feels like a personal treat.

Kiri’s Extra Touch
Alongside your dish, please bring one small, natural item you’ve come across in your day — something that caught your eye or made you pause. It might be a flower, a leaf, a sprig of herbs, a stone, or anything else from nature. When we arrive, we’ll place them all together to create a simple shared display that represents the group. This is a relaxed, social evening for all kinds of cooks — home, hobby, or professional — so just bring your dish, your nature item, and your good company.

Let’s make this potluck not just about feeding the body, but also about feeding the heart and spirit.
