Foodie Camping Wknd - Bent's Basin (1.5hrs from Syd), Apr 9-12 (Days optional)
Details
Our foodie camping weekends are always so much so we're going again this April in the wonderful shoulder season which should have less bugs and when it's not as hot !
We're also going for up to 3 nights this time around so for those of you who want to come along for the full duration, we'll have at least 2 full days onsite. Shorter stay overs are absolutely fine as well.
Location is Bent's Basin Campgrounds, only a 1-2 hrs drive from Sydney.
Ok, so here's how it is going to work...
1. DURATION : You can arrive anytime during the weekend, so come for 2-4 days or even just overnight. We will be there for 2 full days / 4 actual days / 3 nights (but the timing is optional for you).
Note : Check-in time is 2pm and check out time is 10-11am.
2. PAYMENT : Each person must arrange their own campsite booking (and car pass booking).
IMPORTANT : When you book, it's the same cost regardless of booking for 1 or 2 people. So to save costs, it helps to arrange with someone or let us know in the comments if you're keen to share. In the booking online, it is worth always indicating explicitly 2 people instead of 1 in case there are last minute folks keen to join and the campsite sells out. Message the event organiser if any questions.
Campsite Booking Link :

Cost is ~$104 for 2 people for 3 nights (Tent, trailer, campervan or caravan option). Note that you don't need to pick a spot ahead of time, we'll arrange it when we get there.
Feel free to come on your own or invite a guest (if bringing a guest let us know via the RSVP confirmation).
If you're driving in, you'll also need to pay for day park fees x 4 calendar days if you're staying the full duration, totalling $32.
You can use this day pass booking link, or follow the prompts after you book the campsite, or you can pay on arrival too.
3. ACCOMODATIONS & GEAR : Each person arranges for their own tent & camping accommodations related equipment (sleeping bag & tea/coffee cups. I will have plates & cutlery).
If you're keen to come but don't have a tent, let us know -- We may be able to help with that.
4. FOOD ROSTER : We'll set up a schedule where people can put there hands up for making a breakfast/lunch or dinner (and call out if you need prep hands to help).
And for those who prefer just to help out throughout the weekend with cleaning dishes and/or prep, let us know too... there are always plenty of people who like to cook amongst us!
See the working food roster plan below.
5. OTHER ACTIVITIES : We're pretty informal... people can do whatever they like at any point. We're big campfire people, so we're going to make sure we have a fire going especially after dark. We'll definitely have some fun board games to enjoy. There is some wonderful freshwater swimming in the area and we may also see if there are local hikes around to help us build up that appetite again for the next meal too (optional to attend).
Note: When we arrive on the Friday, we're going to share where in the park we are located on this event page and/or at the campsite reception. And of course, we'll share contact info as well by email before the weekend so you also have a backup way to contact us if needed.
