For June, we’re watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It is a strange, beautiful, and deeply human film about love, memory, and the painful things we sometimes wish we could forget.

When Joel discovers that his ex-girlfriend Clementine has undergone a procedure to erase their relationship from her memory, he decides to do the same. But as his memories begin to fade, he starts to question whether letting go is really what he wants.

Part romance, part science fiction, and part emotional excavation, the film asks a deceptively simple question:
If you could erase the pain of a past relationship, would you, even if it meant losing the love that came with it?

What to Expect

  • A cozy screening space with snacks and drinks
  • A thoughtful, low-pressure discussion after the film
  • No film expertise required — just curiosity

After the film, we’ll reflect on memory, identity, love, and the complicated ways we hold on to the people who shape us.
No pressure to speak, listening is just as welcome.
