Mount Townsend from the Lower Trailhead

Avoid the hell of the Upper Trailhead, adding just under two more miles and 525 elevation feet.

Meeting at 8 a.m. at the North Viking Transit Center (bets the question, Were there ever any Southern Vikings? Did they speak with a drawl?)

Microspikes, poles, and the 10 essentials will be needed. This may get updated if conditions change.
