Global Day of Coderetreat 2022 - Auckland (Pushpay)

This year's Global Day of Coderetreat will be held on Saturday, November 5th 2022!

This is an in person event held at the Pushpay office in Auckland. Due to the short notice publishing the event this year, we will only be running a half day session in the afternoon. However, if you would like to attend a virtual event (for up to 48 hours), check out the Global Day of Coderetreat.

What's coderetreat again?

Coderetreat is a day-long (half day for us this year), intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. By providing developers the opportunity to take part in focused practice, away from the pressures of 'getting things done', the coderetreat format has proven itself to be a highly effective means of skill improvement. Practising the basic principles of modular and object-oriented design, developers can improve their ability to write code that minimises the cost of change over time.

Cities all over the world will be taking part, and video calls will traverse the globe as groups say hello to other cities and welcome each other to an amazing day spent working on improving our fundamental development skills.
