Dsantos Dance UK is excited to announce our monthly Kizomba event, with fantastic classes and social dancing, in the heart of Reading:

BEGINNERS WELCOME

Kizomba is an amazing partner dance originating from Angola, Africa. Angola has a rich influence on world arts and culture with both Samba and Capoeira actually finding their roots here. Kizomba, briefly speaking, was created mostly from the musical influences of Semba and Zouk. However, 'Kizomba' literally means 'Party'. Although Kizomba now refers to a particular dance style, a night out dancing Kizomba is often accompanied by other dances such as Semba and Kuduro/Afrohouse. Today Kizomba is danced all over the world and is growing ever more popular due to the captivating music of artists past and present as well as the special connection experienced between dancers.

| DEFINITION OF LEVELS |
✿ KIZOMBA VOL.1 (FUNDAMENTALS) - This syllabus is designed to get you having loads of fun on the dance floor from day one! The classes cover the timing, rhythm and movement in Kizomba as well as introducing a new core partnerwork each week. If you've done less that ~30 Kizomba lessons then this is the class for you. There will be lots to keep you on your toes every week!

✿ KIZOMBA VOL.2 (INTERMEDIATE) - Kizomba Vol.2 is for those who have been attending classes consistently and have been through our Vol.1 syllabus numerous times (>30 classes). You must be proficient in all the Vol.1 moves, as knowledge of these will be expected, and typically have been dancing consistently for 6 months to 1 year before progressing to the Vol. 2 (intermediate) class. *(INTERMEDIATE DANCERS ENCOURAGED TO TAKE FUNDAMENTALS CLASS FOR EXTRA £2)
