tiny ted talks – a chill salon to share something you care about

(kizuna is back after a quiet May with no public events! we’re easing into summer with something playful...)

ever wondered what it’s like to give a TED talk? what if it was chill, intimate, and maybe without the spotlight and all the pressure?
in this event, we’ll prompt you to come up with your own short (<5min), sweet, and spontaneous lecture/speech/rant about a topic you care about to then share in small groups — no prep required!

this is a chance to explore and chat about the niche passions and oddly specific interests we don’t usually get to share in other contexts. it’s a chance to invite others into your world, stumble into unexpected topics, and connect through the things that light you up.

⚙️ how it works
we’ll spend some time coming up with the topic for our tiny talks (don’t worry: we’ll provide prompts to help you come up with something you’re passionate about sharing). no slide-deck here: there'll be paper and writing materials to make your own visuals, however simple or creative you like! we’ll do two rounds of sharing — instead of presenting in front of a large audience, we’ll break off into small groups.

keep in mind: we aim to be a safe, brave, no-advice and zero judgment space where you can share authentically and deeply listen to others.

💸 cost & payment
pay-what-you-want (minimum ¥500) on arrival. either cash or paypay is fine 🙆‍♂️ this includes light refreshments, and helps support our community running costs.

⚠️ if you can’t attend
we kindly ask you to cancel your RSVP in advance if you decide not to attend. this is helps us know the number of participants, and opens up the spot for others who wants to join the event.
