Hike into Bear Wallow

Let’s see how much water remains in the Bear Wallow via the ‘Gate trail’. The parking lot for the unofficial TH has been newly paved and is before the current construction traffic hold. Meet at Moore park Marina 2 at 9 am for carpool. We will hike out and back 5 miles with less than 500 elevation change. This is a good hike to practice with trekking poles, break-in new boots or carry a heavier pack. The weather will be cooler than average so a jacket may be needed. Bring water, snacks or lunch, sunscreen and bug spray. Wear sturdy shoes and a sun hat. Dogs on leash welcome. Restrooms at Marina. Free parking. Message me with questions or concerns.
