Details
This is a very pretty loop hike around lake Ewauna in downtown Klamath Falls. This loop hike is a nice bird watchers delight. We will be hiking SLOWLY with lots of stops in a clockwise loop hike direction. The hike has a total distance of 3.6 miles of flat hiking with no more than a few feet of elevation change. It is classified as a BEGINNERS hike. However be advised that we will be crossing the lake on the south side of the hike on a railroad bridge. There is a walkway on both sides of the railroad bridge. We will also be hiking near some homeless camps. as well as a short section of train tracks. Most of the hike is on well maintained trails starting with a paved section then on to the Wing Watchers trail as well as the Lake Ewauna trail. Along your hike you will see lots of different birds, including Pelicans, and Geese, and Ducks, and Egrets. There are lots of flowering scrubs and plants on both sides of our trail.
