This is a moderate hike on the newly refurbished tomahawk trail which is located 23 miles west from
our meetup place of Moore Park. It is an exciting hike
with pretty views of the klamath lake, mountain lakes and other scenic views at the summit and along the hike.
This is a 1.5 mile one way hike with an elevation gain of 700 ft. The hike with at a slow pace will take an one hour up . After a
20 minute lunch. Hiking down the same way will take a little
less than one hour back to our Trail Head. You should be back
home by early afternoon.

Advanced hikers that are interested in more hiking at the summit will have the option to come
with us on a one mile additional wilderness hike to a nearby
mountain summit. On this hike there are no trails , we call it off trail hiking which is more commonly called bushwacking.
We will be leading this hike and show you the basics of hiking in
the wilderness. You will need to stay with our group on this hike.
