Details

June 28-29 Rye Spur Trail Work Weekend
Our multi-partner Rye Spur Volunteer Trail Work Weekend is THIS weekend June 28 and 29. Klamath Trails Alliance, Siskiyou Mountain Club, Back Country Horsemen, Southern Oregon Nordic Club and the Forest Service are collaborating to support this event to clear about 15 miles of trail in 2 days! These trails are located between/near Highway 140 and Fourmile Lake Campground. There's a trail for every user and a task for every ability level.

Participants must sign a Forest Service Volunteer Agreement, follow safety instructions and use Protective Equipment (provided), and Chain saw operators must be FS Chain Saw Certified. We will be able to recert a small number of expired sawyers. Contact Heather for more information regarding recert at hberghikes@gmail.com

Participants can attend Saturday, Sunday or both. Camping is available at Rye Spur Horse Camp for those that wish to camp. Dinner Saturday and Breakfast Sunday will be provided. Participants should bring water, lunch and trail snacks. Please bring gloves and wear long pants and sleeves.

Meet at Rye Spur Horse Camp at 0900 Saturday and 0800 Sunday. We will work until 1530 Saturday and noonish Sunday.
