Road run to and hike at Bukit Ketumbar
Details
The route will be combination of road and trail running at a comfortable pace. However try not to stop your run or hike entirely even if you are tired, unless in case of an emergency.
Take smaller steps at a higher cadence to reduce the fatigue and at the same time, to improve your endurance level.
We will be running in a group and if the pace difference is a lot, the fastest ones will be waiting at the front of every junction to re-group.
From 28BLVD to Ketumbar is around 5km, then we start to hike straight to summit and take a short break at the peak.
We can decide the route depending on the group members condition as soon as everyone has arrived.
After the hike is done, we continue to run to a nearby kopitiam for a sumptuous breakfast before heading back to 28BLVD.
After the run, whoever feels like to continue with the post-session stretching or lightweight strength training are welcome to the gym at 28BLVD.
There are shower, swimming pool and sauna on the facilities floor. Do bring along your essential items, swimsuit and necessary clothes to change.
Distance : Approximately 12km to 15km.
What to bring : Blinker, headlamp, at least 1 litre of liquid (water/electrolytes), salt drop, energy gel, your choice of light snacks to provide sustained energy.
Note : There are water stations along the way (mamak, kopitiam, convenience mart etc.)
