Camping 2D/1N - Bukit Changkat Lembah

For this event, payment of a camping fee is required. Kindly pay the fee directly to the camping owner before you place yourself on the Attendees list.

Before we enjoy a peaceful late afternoon and evening at the camping site, we will attempt to reach the summit of nearby located Bukit Changkat Lembah. There used to be trails to the summit but they are overgrown now. Bring the necessary 'equipment'...!

The meet-up point for Sunday's hike to Lubuk Kawah is merely 1.5 kilometres away, so we will try to make arrangements that the cars can stay at the campsite until we return from the hike.

Do note that, in case you also want to join the Lubuk Kawah Falls hike, you will have to register on the event page, fill in the Participation Form and pay the permit applicatin fee.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you have a gps navigation app (like ~in alphabetical order~ AllTrails (paid version), Gaia, Hiiker, Komoot, Maps me, OSMAnd, Wikiloc,...) installed on your phone and make sure that it is working properly. If you don't have an app installed yet, we suggest to use OSMAnd or Hiiker to start with. Once you have downloaded the offline map of Malaysia, you can easily import and navigate any gpx file. Do not come to the venue if you have not pre-installed a gps navigation app at home, or have not downloaded the map of Malaysia at home, or have not opened the test gpx file at home. Every week, we notice that there are hikers who arrive just before the event starts and are absolutely not prepared which is jeopardising the scheduled timing of the event. Especially iPhone users are urged to make sure that they can open the test gpx file at home and are able to navigate.

Do note that the indicated meet-up time is not the time you should arrive at the meet-up location. You can arrive any time after 02:00 pm.
