An Exploration of the Self - Calm (online)
Hosted by Melodies and Meaningful Connections
Details
This is an Authentic Relating series inspired by the 8Cs and 5Ps of Self according to IFS. We will use sentence stems to facilitate conversations as well as participating in AR games, Improv games, Circling, and other experiences.
According to Richard Schwartz's IFS model of Self, Calm is defined as:
Serenity regardless of circumstances.
The ability to react to triggering situations mindfully.
- How do you define calm?
- What does calm feel like to you?
- How easily can you reach a state of calm?
- What gets in the way?
- What helps you become calm?
- What gets you out of calm?
We will explore these questions and much more while we cover the first C, Calm.
No prior knowledge of IFS or Authentic Relating needed to attend.
Note:
Room will be locked 5 minutes after start time.
This is an interactive event where participation is required. As such you must have your video on during the exercises as well as be in a quiet space so participants can hear you.
This event is cross-promoted so there might be more people in attendance than reflected on this Meetup page.
