Watch, Discuss, Socialize - Think More Logically by Removing Bias

Details

Welcome to all new members and interested thinkers! Whether we like it or not, we all have biased thinking. However, by becoming aware of our biases and the potential biases that may influence our thinking, we are less likely to be overly influenced by them to our detriment. On the other hand, we can use our understanding of our potential congnitive biases for our benefit.

In this meeting, we will watch and discuss a short 10-minute video that explains 12 cognitive biases. The video is titled “12 Cognitive Biases Explained - How to Think Better and More Logically by Removing Bias.” The 12 cognitive biases covered in the video are:

  1. Anchoring Bias
  2. Availability Heuristic Bias
  3. Bandwagon Bias
  4. Choice Supportive Bias
  5. Confirmation Bias
  6. Ostrich Bias
  7. Outcome Bias
  8. Overconfidence
  9. Placebo Bias
  10. Survivorship Bias
  11. Selective Perception Bias
  12. Blind Spot Bias

Together, we will share our thoughts and experiences related to each bias. Join us as we explore our biases and learn how to recognize and reduce them. You can RSVP [here] and attend the meeting [here]. Please bring something to take notes with, and we look forward to seeing you there!
