About us
Open to people interested in improving the status of women with a focus on what is taught in faith spaces and its ripple effects in wider society.
In this group we:
- Share and study key information that helps challenge opression in the name of religion.
- Collect stories and feedback from women's experiences with how religion is taught and lived to share with faith leaders.
- Support eachother.
- Celebrate women's contributions, especially on the Feast of St. Phoebe, Diakonos Rom. 16:1–2 (September 3rd).
- Learn how to recognize spiritual abuse and coercion in the name of religion. Also what healthy faith can look like i.e. "Do no harm. Do good. Love God, neighbor and self."
- Do our part to improve the culture around us with regards to recognizing the equal dignity of all people.
