Power & Spirituality: Illuminating the blind spots with contemplative dialogue

Details
In this series of events I would like to explore the relationship of power and spirituality with you.
In which way can spiritual traditions and practices be empowering and liberating?
And on the other hand: How do religious and worldly power structures inhibit our natural spirituality?
To gain clarity many traditions offer contemplative practices such as meditation which seek to go beyond intellectual understanding to a deeper level of quiet and intuitive understanding.
Contemplative conversation offers a middle way between discussion and quiet contemplation, in which there is more space for meaning to reverberate, instead of following the quick pace often practiced in modern life.
This might allow us to bring more awareness to the dynamics of conversations, so that we can consciously choose where to go instead of following the habits of culture that often dominate our lives.
Feel free to bring the topics that are dear to you heart so that we can include them into our exploration.
The location is the "Schwarze Katze" (easy to recognize by the black cat symbol) at Fettstraße 23, near the Christuskirche subway station.
When you enter the basement entrance, you’ll find us on the left in the group room.
About the location:
The Schwarze Katze is a space for various social libertarian groups (such as the FAU union) and has a mostly German library offering a selection of books that critically engage with the topic of power, especially anarchism, but also feminism, education, and many other related subjects.
Event Rules:
> To ensure a meaningful and respectful experience, here are the guidelines:
> Respectful Interaction: Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but rudeness, interrupting others, or dismissive comments will not be tolerated. Let’s keep this a safe and welcoming space.
> Raise Your Hand: To maintain order and give everyone a fair chance to speak, we ask participants to raise their hand before contributing to the discussion.
> Mobile Phones: Please keep the level of using your phone to a moderate level. Making calls during events or not paying attention to the conversation might make the group feel disrespected.
> This event is all about curiosity, exploration, and respect. Bring your best ideas, an open mind, and a willingness to engage in meaningful conversations. We look forward to hearing your unique perspectives and making this event a memorable experience for everyone!
