Join us for our inaugural session where we begin to explore the frontiers of our minds and belief systems.
In this 90-minute session we seek to draw out some of our beliefs and take differing perspectives to begin our journey of mapping our thinking.
Our agenda for the evening will be roughly thus:
The Nature of Models - What are mental models? How do we use them?
Model Pioneers and Practitioners - Creating models and using them
The Subtle Dimensions of Thought - What dimensions frame our thinking? How does where we land on those spectra give rise to identity and self?
Taking the Other side - Stepping out of our own perspectives and sharing the view of others
Emotional Cartography - Where do our thoughts and emotions collide?
Mapping Together - How can we use mind maps to reveal our thought processes and anchor our discussions? How can we come to a collective understanding, while framing biases, incorporating new perspectives, and leaving room for further exploration?
Closure - When we know where we are and where we are going, it frees us to enjoy the journey all the more.
The session will run in approximately two 40-minute halves with a 10-minute break between them.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Feel free to bring notebooks and stationery for the mind mapping, though some will be provided.
Above all, bring knowledge in all forms, and an open-minded curiosity for a spirited evening of discussion!
