Projects don’t go wrong because of the activities on your kanban board or your 1000-line project schedule. Projects typically go wrong because of unmanaged risks, forgotten action items, out of control issues and poor decisions.

This presentation covers an old standby project management tool, the RAID log, which was specifically developed to help project managers address this areas. Whether you need to run or rescue a project, RAID logs can help you succeed in doing so.

At the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:

1. Define a RAID log and how it is used.
2. Describe how to use a RAID log to accomplish project wins and better understand RAID add-ons.

SPEAKER:
Kim Essendrup's experience and knowledge come from over 20 years of managing critical project initiatives and delivery teams, and has been a PMP since 2004. He is the CEO and co-founder of [RAIDLOG.com](http://raidlog.com/), a founder of project management consultancy, The Kolme Group, and co-host of the Project Management Happy Hour podcast. He also recently published his second book, “The Ultimate Guide to RAID Log.”
