Dear Kevin,

Our biggest event of the year is just around the corner, our annual Vegetarian Thanksgiving Potluck Supper (and celebration!). Hopefully you know by now that it will take place on Sunday, Nov. 24, 6 PM, at the first Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3611 Kingston Pike, about a mile west of our usual location at the Unitarian Church.

We still need lots of helpers. If you can sign up for one of the following tasks, please call or write Bob Grimac at[masked], or write [address removed]

1. FLOWERS & PLANTS.  Bring potted mums to add some color to the huge gymnasium. You can donate or be reimbursed. Potted plants needed too.
We need some signs on the road advertising the event, hopefully posted early that morning. Balloons can help folks find the driveway later that evening.

3. WASH DISHES. This is one of the biggest tasks because we don't use throw-aways. Need someone to scrape and rinse in the church kitchen. Someone also needs to take them home to run through a dish washer or sterilize, then return to Bob's house or the UU church.
4. KIDS AREA. Have a few things for kids to do, color, etc.
Make sure that dishes are on the serving tables,  labeled and have serving utensils. Oversee the placement of the food.
We can only safely use hot plates to warm food if one person is in charge of "watching the pots." Can this be you? Turn on, turn off, turn down, unplug, etc.
7.DOOR PRIZES. Need someone to find donations for our annual drawing for prizes. Can you bring one or more prizes to "sweeten the pot?"
8. BAKE SALE. We would like to sell baked goods to raise funds. Can you bring something for this table?
. Can you bring something for this sales area? Always a lot of fun and has raised over $100 for us each year.
10. GENERAL HELP. You could sign up to help, and I will place you as needed.
Thanks for helping to make this event a success!
For the animals,
