Evening hike followed by The Perseid meteor shower!

Easy to moderate 3.6 miles R/T from the parking lot to the point and back. 700 ft elevation gain. Should take about 2 hours to hike at a fairly easy pace and this is never a race. Sunset is at approximately 8:40, and fingers crossed all weather permitting we arrive back to the overlook for a great sunset and an awesome meteor shower display! As long as the weather cooperates I am definitely going and excited regardless. Dress and pack accordingly and as always bring any guests you like. May even want to bring snacks, dinner, camping chairs , flashlight or headlamp ect. If the weather does not cooperate I will reschedule this for the weekend after and if it does I will do another one at a different location. Please as always if you RSVP show or cancel beforehand.
