Cumberland Trail : Emory river gorge segment

Time to shake the frost off and get ready for the new year. Only 2.3 miles R/T, it’s an out and back that should only take an hour to hour and a half. Only 308 ft elevation gain. Easy trail with views of the river and gorge. Dress and pack appropriately as always. As of now it looks cold but sunny. I’ve not done this segment so im not sure about the parking lot size, but there is extra parking nearby. Guests are always welcome. Please cancel RSVP’s If not going so I’m not expecting or left waiting .

Trying to get the location set up correctly. It’s on Catoosa Rd, 5.6 mikes out of Wartburg, TN. Parking area is on the right, just before crossing the river. The pin is correct, the address is not exact. Some of these places are hard for this app to find. Always easy to find using the AllTrails app.
