Cades Cove evening bike ride to see the lightning bugs.

Lightning bug peak is supposed to be the week of this according to NPS. I’ve driven around the cove during the peak and they were amazing. Heavily depends the weather. It’s a good time regardless. I have two extra bikes if anyone needs to borrow one. Also have a truck if anyone wants to carpool or needs help with bike transport. 11.5 miles, as always in no hurry with pace allowing for anyone and walking bikes up hills. Bring whomever, the more the merrier. If anyone wanted to lead a shorter hike option let me know. Bike lights are a good idea, helmet if desired. Let me know if you have any questions. I will check for messages before leaving Townsend. Ride will start no later than 7:00 unless I know someone is running late. We will stop plenty of times to visit landmarks and bathroom break on the far end of the cove at the visitors center. Cancel RSVP’s if not coming out of respect please.
