About us
Want to know more about driving electric? Have any questions about plug-in electric vehicles? Would you like to test drive an EV and see what all the excitement is about? Come join our monthly meeting of local EV drivers. We are the local chapter of the Electric Auto Association. Which means we are a non-profit with the sole purpose of educating the public on the benefits of driving electric. We have guess speakers and talk about a wide range of EV topics, including solar, home battery storage, and gas car conversions to electric. We are looking to grow the amount of EV drivers here in Knoxville and East TN. We look forward to meeting you! September Monthly Meeting Guest Speaker
Public Works Service Center, 3131 Morris Ave, Knoxville, TN 37909, USA, Knoxville, TN, USHey everyone,
Come on out to this month's meeting to hear all about what's going on in Knoxville from our sustainability manager Patience Melnik. She will update us on what the city has planned for electric vehicles and possibly tell us about planned chargers and more. Also what the city is doing with electrifying the fleet of city vehicles like the police and fire Mach-e's as well as the electric KAT buses. Patience can also tell us what's going on with the Knoxville Breathe initiative which is a climate action plan for the city.We are 4 short weeks away from our biggest event of the year. The Knoxville Drive Electric Festival is getting bigger as more sponsors have come on board. We will update everyone on the latest plans, plus we have a need for a few more volunteer spots for setup the night before and the morning of the event. We will have posters for the event available at the meeting for people to take and post up at their work, school, coffee shops, and churches. We need your help to spread the word to everyone and if you haven't already signed up to attend or show your EV we would greatly appreciate it if you did. https://driveelectricmonth.org/event?eventid=5126 Reminder there are four $50 gift cards randomly given away to people who check-in on the day of the event but if you are also registered beforehand we will double that prize to $100!
As always we will also be covering some of the latest news in the EV world and answer any of your questions.
