This month we are excited to host Cliff Chen from Shapefarm who will talk about the environment art pipeline on their game Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn.

Feel free to bring along devices if you want to show your work in progress after the event!
This talk will be hosted at Media Design School at Strayer on Level 1 in the Kupe Room.

Planning An Asset With Optimisation In Mind
Environment art often needs to be heavily optimized due to the large number of assets included in a level, as a result reducing draw calls becomes very important in the optimisation process. In this talk, Cliff will highlight his learnings from the development of Flintlock; focusing on the mindset and workflow required to plan various assets in game environments.
