Welcome to the Koenji Chess Club!

This group is for chess enthusiasts (chess, shogi, xiangqi) of all levels wanting to play a few games in a casual environment with proper boards.

We plan on doing SHOGI EVENTS once a month on the 1st Wednesday of every month and CHESS EVENTS on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.

All levels are welcome to join, you can pop in and out anytime between 5-9pm at The Den in Koenji.

Bring your board or borrow one of ours. We have 8 full-sized shogi boards and wooden pieces, and 8 tournament-approved vinyl chess boards with triple-weighted pieces.

Asking for 1,000 yen entry to cover venue and equipment costs.
