OpenStack is a global collaboration of developers and cloud computing technologists producing the ubiquitous open source cloud computing platform for public and private clouds. OpenStack is used by corporations, service providers, VARS, SMBs, researchers, and global data centers looking to deploy large-scale cloud deployments for private or public clouds leveraging the support and resulting technology of a global open source community.

Lakmal and Rasanjaya will discuss how WSO2 Private Cloud Infrastructure build upon OpenStack. This session includes

• Introduction to OpenStack

• Discuss devstack and packstacks

• General practise for production ready OpenStack deployment

• Architecture of the WSO2 Private Cloud deployment (multi node deployment)

• Discuss challengers met with setting up WSO2 Private Cloud

• Demonstrate

• Uploading a cloud image

• Creating key pair

• Defining security groups

• Defining networks,subnet and routers (Advance neutron concept)

• Spin up instances and access using keys and VNC

• Creating snapshots and booting from snapshots

• Attaching cinder volumes as persistent storage for to a instances

• Live migration instances among different compute nodes without having a downtime
